Welcome

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ has allowed our congregation to provide over 160 years of ministry to this community, and continued growth as a Christian fellowship.  With the challenges of Covid and other contemporary issues, we will need to first prepare ourselves spiritually by the power of God. The challenge is far greater than in the past, and will require our closeness in prayer, study, fellowship, and communion with God and each other.  We stand on a solid and strong foundation established by those Christian pioneers who labored in this community producing a rich legacy that has been passed down from generation to generation.  We humbly salute those Christian men and women for their foresight, perseverance, commitment, and dedication in proclaiming the word of God.  The baton is now in our hands.  With this long and rich legacy of Christian leadership of over a century and a half, we can look back and realize that we are blessed. God has blessed us with our present facilities and the resources to sustain this ministry in addressing the needs of this fellowship, the community and the surrounding area.  Therefore, let our current endeavors allow us to reach the unsaved for Christ.  A starting point to is to witness and be the “Light set up on a hill.”  At First Missionary Baptist Church, we thank you for your prayers, love, graciousness, and acts of kindness shown toward us.  When you’re in the neighborhood, stop in and join us as we continue to serve and worship our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
